Short on Time

“I didn't have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead.”
  - Mark Twain

I've been short on time this week. Both of my girls have been in dance recital rehearsals (six hours yesterday and five today). That's a lot for ages three and five. The recitals are tomorrow and Sunday afternoon so I will not get much done this weekend either. They are so adorable in their costumes and up on stage though, it's definitely worth it. They have so much fun when they aren't exhausted.

Have a great weekend and Happy Writing!

What are you doing this weekend? Where do you steal time from when you are short on it?

Enjoy the recitals!

I need to get some sleep this weekend, so I guess that's my plan.

I'm sending out query letters to 13 agents. Fingers crossed.

Ha, the Twain quote is funny because it's true. When I feel short on time I usually end up wasting it!

I'll probably be running around like crazy this weekend, but not doing anything super fun like attending a dance recital. More likely I'll be taking out trash and doing laundry. But some things need doing, what can I say?

Dance recital rehearsals, how fun and exhausting. This weekend I'll be working on rewriting a crucial chapter. As for stealing time, I carry a notebook everywhere with me and write whenever I can.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, the demands on your time notwithstanding.

If I'm short on time, I seal it from my sleep. I do not recommend the process, but for me it is a fact of life.

This weekend, besides catching up on my sleep, we will entertain our grandchildren. Always something delightful, as they enjoy reading and (still) being read to.

Lot's of kid activities, and some of my own. I'm trying to finish editing a novel for someone, and yard work!

I'm sure your girls will be adorable!

We wanted to go to the zoo, but it won't stop raining - so, I guess I'll catch up on some cleaning, writing and play a few games with the kids. A quite weekend.

Have fun at the recitals! Lots of spring cleaning still going on here, lots of tossing. I love it! Out with the old, make way for the new.

Happy Weekend to you as well!

I steal time from my husband. If there's something I can pass off to him to make my day go easier, I do. :)

This weekend Bonus Brother (my step-son) is graduating high school. So it's all about the cookout. :)

Love the Mark Twain quote. So apt!

Where do I steal time?

Thought-provoking. The best choice would be to turn off the TV and switch off the cell phone games. The worst choice would likely be to take time away from people.

Usually, however, it seems time steal us, rather than our stealing time.

(Ooooh. I might have to poeticize on that point. OK, I know that's not a word, but a little creative license never hurt.)

Congratulations on the Kreativ Blog Award. Amy gave it to me too. Wanna see who I picked to receive it next? Check out my choices!

Blessings,
Linda Ann
